Butachlor + Propanilis a formulated mixture of herbicide, which could be used post-emergence to control a wide range of weeds effectively, esp. in rice.
Butachlor + Propanil Useage Butachloris used pre-emergence for the control of annual grasses and certain broad-leaved weeds in rice, both seeded and transplanted. It shows selectivity in barley, cotton, peanuts, sugar beet, wheat and several brassica crops. Effective rates range from 1.0-4.5 kg/ha. Activity is dependent on water availability such as rainfall following treatment, overhead irrigation or applications to standing water as in rice culture.
Propanilis a contact herbicide used post-emergence in rice, at 2.5-5.0 kg/ha, to control broad-leaved and grass weeds, including Amaranthus retroflexus,Digitaria spp., Echinochloa spp., Panicum spp., and Setaria spp. Also used,in mixture with MCPA, in wheat. A mixture with carbaryl is used in citrus crops grown in sod culture.
